I’m on my 4th iPod! Let me clarify. I had the extended warranty and have actually needed 3 replacements as they were beyond the scope of your normal reboots/resets/reformats. I actually felt that same "emptiness" you felt the first time this happened. Kudos to you on the marriage reminder. It's so easy to fall into the "freeze-up" cycles.
